Step 1: Scheduling an Appointment

• The client contacts GENETIX.

• The service may require details such as  number of participants, and location preference (home, office, hospital, or other locations).

• An official ID is required, and a strict chain of custody process will be followed.

• Step 2: Mobile Technician Arrives at the Location

• The professional ensures a discreet and comfortable environment for the sample collection.

Step 3: DNA Sample Collection (Mouth Swab)

• The technician uses a sterile buccal swab (cotton swab) to gently rub the inside of the cheek for about 30-60 seconds to collect epithelial cells that contain DNA.

• If multiple individuals are being tested (e.g., child and alleged father in a paternity test), each person is swabbed separately.

• Each swab is placed in a labeled and sealed collection envelope to avoid contamination

Step 4: Sample Processing & Lab Analysis

•  collected samples are securely transported to an accredited laboratory for testing.

• The DNA is extracted, analyzed, and compared to specific genetic markers to determine relationships

• Results & Report Delivery

• Once the DNA analysis is complete (usually 1-3 business days, but rapid testing is  available), the results are sent to the client via:

• Secure online portal

• Email or physical mail

• In-person consultation (if requested)​
